It is never too early to start on your New Year’s resolutions. How many times do you vow to change your habits on January 1st but give up on January 3rd? Maybe if you start slowly easing into your new lifestyle, it will be habit by New Years! Here are a few tips for jump-starting your change.
Go slowly. If you plan to start eating healthier, slowly start changing your habits. Do not try to kick all your habits at once!
Get organized. You can start anytime… you do not have to run out and get a planner on 1/1. Start organizing all aspects of life, not just your social calendar.
Set goals. Set small goals instead of large goals that seem unobtainable. If you want to lose 50 pounds, break that goal into 5 increments of 10 pounds. You will get the satisfaction of achieving the large goal, one small goal at a a time!
Don’t change too much at once. People often don’t stick to their resolutions because they try to change everything at once! Pick what you want to change first and slowly add the others in!
Change is never easy, but with the proper timing and approach, it can be achievable. When New Years comes around, you can already have a handle on the new you and can focus on keeping it that way!
